 Create a Thanksgiving family tradition!
Personalize a store-bought journal to record God's faithfulness to you and/or your family each year.
Supplies:
• archival-quality journal
• acid-free colored paper
• computer & printer OR
• calligraphy pen & ink
• permanent glue
• craft leaf embellishments (optional)
Directions:
Most importantly, choose an archival quality journal that can become a treasured family keepsake for generations. If you set it out on a side table every year, you'll not want it to fade, nor any attachments to peel off.
We printed "A Thanksgiving Journal" and "The Andersons, est. 1998" in a classic font on ivory colored acid-free paper. You can also calligraphy these. Trim and glue onto another colored sheet (brown in our case). Affix these in position along with any leaf embellishments. Carefully set a large book on top until the glue has set.
Tip:
Shop around for a timeless journal/book and decorate it carefully so it will hold up year after year. You may find a nice-quality journal with a spiral binding or a mini-memory-type book like we found. Ours has unlined pages, but we liked the windowed cover that allowed for a photo.
This can be a personal tradition or a family activity. Write what you're thankful for ... what God has done in your life the past year ... a scripture on being thankful that carried special significance ...
