 Decorate a serving tray for a special event!
Create a family tradition with a special tray by designing inserts for the bottom - make a new one for events, such as a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or a gathering of friends.
Supplies:
• tray
• glass insert
• tag board
• patterned papers
• colored ribbon
• glue stick
• decorative edge scissors
• craft knife and cutting mat
Directions:
Use a tray with a removable bottom. OR measure the inside bottom dimensions of your tray and cut a piece of tag board to fit. Then have your local glass store or framing store fit a piece of glass to then insert in over the top. Have them smooth the edges as you will need to pop it in and out to change the design on your tag board.
Create a design applicable for each occasion. Use scrapbooking supplies and techniques OR simply print out family photos and accent them with fun messages made from words clipped from magazines.
Glue everything to the tag board, let dry and insert the glass.
Tip:
Treat the special family member to breakfast in bed or your friends to a tea party!
